We are what we repeatedly do....

I find myself continually going back to this Aristotle quote, "We are what we repeatedly do". Why is this? Why is it that we seem to tumble back into the same downward spiral of self defeating behaviors over and over again? This question has been on my mind a lot lately.

This valley has a funny way of making poor choices seem to be socially acceptable. After all, this is a Neverland filled with Peter Pans and Tinker Bells trying to escape the pressures of reality. This mindset is a great way to stay young, live life to its fullest, and not get sucked into a "blueprint" you may not necessarily be ready for. However, at what point do we wake up and realize eating handfuls of gummy bears instead of our broccoli has it's repercussions? These gummy bears typically showing in the form of pink pants and a goofy grin. We all have our stories.

I challenge you to take a step inward and look at your life, your behaviors, your weaknesses. Why do we make the decisions we do when we already know the outcome? Why do we skip the vegetables and persist on the gummy bears that we know will result in cavities? Why do we persist that men in pink pants will miraculously change their ways and not end in heartache and shame. It's time to take responsibility for our actions, learn, grow, change.
